Submit Media Clips

We’re a small team of volunteers currently focused on just a few countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. Help us fill in the gaps and expand our reach by uploading media clips of LGBTQI+ coverage from around the world.

We are currently onboarding media monitoring partners in priority countries. If you or your organization would like to join us in these efforts, please get in touch.

Public Submission Form

  • Please type or translate the clip's title in English (preferred) or French.
  • Name of the author or producer, if available
  • Write the name of the newspaper, radio station, TV station, etc. where you found this clip.

  • In a sentence or two, please summarize the story in English (preferred) or French.
  • If you found an online version or transcript of this story, please copy and paste the full text here. This will greatly improve our database.
  • Tick the name of the country (or countries) this story addresses. To choose multiple countries, select one and then hold Ctrl (Windows & Linux) or Command (Mac OS X) to select the others.
  • Write the name of the city or cities (separated by comma) mentioned in this story. If the story has more of a national focus, leave this field blank.
  • Each topic below has three options (ranked from best to worst). Choose one option for each topic. Feel free to skip any topics that are not relevant (if the story has no visuals/photos, for example).
  • Which number best describes this media clip? For example, “1” indicates news media content that is excellent in its ethical and professional treatment of SSOGIE issues. “5” indicates news media content that is imminently dangerous in its irresponsible, biased or incendiary treatment of SSOGIE issues.

  • If you see a story in a newspaper or magazine that you would like to share with us, please take a clear photo of it and upload the photo here. If you hear a radio story or see a TV show that addresses LGBTQI+ issues, please record it with your phone and upload the file here. If you see a story online you would like to share, please save it (as PDF, audio or video file) and upload the file here, along with the original URL where you found it. It's important to save a copy of the original story as soon as you can in case the story is later changed or taken down. If you would like to share a video file, please find or post the video on YouTube and share the link to that video below to help us save storage space. If you must upload a video here, it needs to be smaller than 100 MB. After you have uploaded your media, you will be unable to make changes. If you need to make changes, please re-upload your media before submitting.
